3: WHO IS RUNNING THE EVENT? WHO IS PUTTING THE EVENT TOGETHER?
The same staff from the very successful 2016 -2021 showcase series is back. The event is being put together by a collective group of premier High School coaches and instructors from: Long Island, New York City, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. All staff have college playing and/or coaching experience. Each event has a staff of at least 12 to help ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible and college coaches are focused on the student-athletes.
4: DO PLAYERS TRAVEL TO YOUR EVENT? WILL YOU HOLD EVENTS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY?
YES, we have had players from all 50 states and four countries attend our events over the last several years. Our events are located in the “hub” of both the most college baseball programs (within 180 mile radius) and the highest concentration of academic colleges (within 180 mile radius). For those reasons, an event this magnitude with this list of schools will ONLY be held in this region. Whether it is the IVY league schools or Duke, Penn St., Johns Hopkins, St. John’s, Richmond and many others, this is the most convenient location and that is why it is a destination for players from all over the country. This Summer we had 39 players from California, 45 from Florida and 31 from Texas.
5: DO YOUR EVENTS SELL OUT?
Yes, we are proud to say our last 14 events have sold out, we expect this event to sell out well in advance especially after the lost 2020 season.
6: HOW MANY PLAYERS AT YOUR SHOWCASE? ARE THEY SPLIT UP?
YES. Our showcase will never have more than 85 position players on the field at once because we split our showcase into shifts. We also limit our positions to a certain amount to ensure each prospect receives proper exposures. Other events/tournaments have 200+ players on the field at the same time, on multiple fields where the coaches don’t get to focus on YOU or your son. Other events/tournaments have coaches spread out sometimes on to 6 fields or TWO different locations.
We make sure each position has its own “showcase spotlight”. Coaches are not distracted or hitting fungos, throwing BP or signing players in. We take OUR TIME and make sure each player is seen HOW THE COLLEGE COACHES WANT!
Please remember though, the reason we have the most coaches in the country is because they know there will be national talent. A player attending a “showcase” with 50 players isn’t a true representation of who you are competing with for: scholarships, roster spots, acceptance. Players (and parents) should focus only on YOU and to perform to the best of your abilities, we will take care of the rest.
7: WILL BATTING PRACTICE TAKE PLACE IN THE CAGES OR ON THE FIELD?
Our BP sessions will take place on the field with all coaches watching from less than 25 feet away.
8: ARE THERE LOCAL AIRPORTS FOR THE EVENT?
The following airports are all less than 1 hour drive from Arm & Hammer Park:

Here are a few we recommend for Arm & Hammer Park:
• Hyatt Regency Princeton
• Hilton Garden Inn Hamilton
• Courtyard by Marriott Ewing Princeton
10: WHAT TIME IS THE I95 METRO BASEBALL FALL SHOWCASE?
Our I95 Metro Baseball Showcase will have two shifts.
Our showcase will NOT start before 7:30AM and not end past 8:30PM. Your session times will be posted 3 days prior to the event (homepage).
No requests. We break our “session times” by positions and graduation classes and format the event so each player receives maximum exposure. Each session will be between 4.5-5.5 hours.
Session 1 – Approximate Start – 7:45AM. Session 2 – Approximate Start – 1:00PM.
11: WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER?
Our events are RAIN or SHINE. There are no refunds or credits. All activities are weather permitting.
In the event of bad weather we will do everything in our power to have the players exposed to the coaches as much as possible including moving inside, providing more repetitions of certain activities or more coaches talks. We will do the best we can to complete the activities that are scheduled but there are no credits or refunds, including if activities CAN not be performed due to weather. All of our expenses are paid prior to the event. We must take the safety of our players and the conditions of the field into consideration.
12: HOW DO YOU RECORD THE MEASURABLES?
Our professional staff is responsible for recording all measurables through the two day event, including: Positional velocity, pitching velocity, exit speed, POP time, 60 yd. dash. These are sent to all coaches 3 days after the event and all players and parents 21 days after the events.
13: WILL I-95 METRO BASEBALL SHOWCASE SEND THIS INFORMATION TO COLLEGE COACHES?
YES. Every coach/school that attends, will have full access to the data sheet 3 days after the event. We feel it is important that we are able to track the progress of each player each season and to have on file when they are recruiting. Players and parents will receive metrics, personal pages and verified metrics by November 1, 2021.
14: WHAT IF MY SON IS A TWO WAY PLAYER? WHAT IF HE PLAYS MULTIPLE POSITIONS?
Do you know at that D1 and D2 level, only 5% of players are two way players? Do you know at the D1/D2 level less than 10% play infield and outfield? Our event wants you to showcase YOUR BEST, not YOUR MOST. Our focus will always be on your primary position. This is not a school ball tryout, this is an event with high level coaches looking for players to showcase their best. Your primary position is our focus. Please only showcase what you feel you can play at the next level against players who are 2-5 years older than you! Pitchers & Catchers that have a secondary will be able to showcase that during our showcase.
15: WHAT IF MY SON IS A PITCHER ONLY?
Pitchers are far and away the most sought after position. Their verified metrics, profile make this a CAN’T MISS event for pitchers. Price and schedule remains the same.
16: WILL PLAYERS EAT LUNCH?
No. We will have two sessions (AM/PM) and we want to maximize our time on the field.
17: WHAT DOES TEAM REPRESENT MEAN? DO ANY SCHOOLS BACK OUT?
The school will send their: head coach, assistant coach, pitching coach or recruiting coordinator. Most schools are sending their head recruiting coordinators, assistant coach or pitching coach but more than several have their head coaching attending. The specific coaches names will be posted at least 2 weeks prior to the event and will be on the home-page.
The schools you see on our confirmed list have confirmed at least THREE times with us they will be at the event. Sometimes there is a rare case of a family emergency, where a school/coach can’t make it or the coach is no longer with the school. Last year 94.3% of our coaches attended.
18: PITCHERS – WHY DID THEY THROW AT THE END OF THE SESSION AND HOW MUCH DO THEY THROW?
Freshman pitchers in college are rarely starting pitchers. The staff & college coaches want to see how pitchers spend their down time and how effective they are after being at the ballpark for hours. This decision comes from our dialogue with college coaches. We want to ensure that pitchers still have enough gas in the tank after the bullpen session for the game the next day. More is not “better” in this case. Each pitcher will throw a 10-12 pitch bullpen.
19: WHAT SHOULD WE DO IF INTERESTED IN A CERTAIN SCHOOL?
Our suggestion for you moving forward is to email any and all schools that were confirmed to be at our event and let them know your interest (and your ID number). Let them know WHY you are interested in the school and what you can bring to the school, classroom and the baseball team. Ask when their camps are being held.
20: ARE THERE PAYMENT PLANS?
No there are not. We have several up-front costs upon sign-up. We take our commitment to you very seriously.
21: WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. This includes if an event has “weather” issues. We will do our best to complete as much activity as possible.
Requests received at least ten (10) days PRIOR to the start of the purchased event will receive a credit in the amount of 50% of the purchasing price. This is for ANY reason. This credit is valid for 10 months and can be used for our I95 Metro Baseball Stadium Series events. Any “request” for a credit less than ten (10) days prior to the start of the purchased event will forfeit their registration fees. NO EXCEPTIONS. I95 Metro Baseball runs the premier events in the country and has up-front fees and commitments paid out prior to each event. Cancelations within ten (10) days of the event impact us in a negative way.
22: WHAT IF MY SON GETS INJURED?
We will have a medical staff member. Our staff also has members that are CPR certified and Concussion certified. Any serious injury, an ambulance will be called. There are no refunds or credits for injuries.
